Me, beyond being "Mum"

24 cupcakes…

Have to be iced and decorated today (for tomorrow’s music group) That doesn’t sounds like a big deal, but it has to be squeezed in amongst what seems like a million other things. Big girl to school, collect Small Boy’s best mate Max, who comes to play at our house on Monday’s for a few […]

Gluten and dairy free pancakes

I’ve been asked for this recipe a few times, so thought I would blog about it. It’s a firm favourite in our house, and because it is gluten and dairy free, is good for those with food intolerances or allergies. You can tweak it to suit your needs. Gluten free American Style Pancakes I prefer American style, fluffier, […]

About blog

Blog author, Karen Reekie

Welcome to the Mad House. I originally started this blog, in a blur of sleep deprivation, to get my thoughts and feelings down somewhere, on parenting, second time round, with a baby that had major sleep issues (and not just normal ones) but it has grown and grown. We are now well into our fifth year at the Mad House and you will find blog posts on anything from gardening, to politics, with lots of ramblings on parenting, and also about living with food intolerances. I blog about cows milk and gluten free cooking too.
