It’s coming to the end of term, and if you have little ones in school or nursery, you are probably counting the hours until the summer holidays, and lunch boxes or snack boxes are the last thing on your mind.
But I wanted to share how easy SuperSquish are, with you, not only for lunchboxes for next term but for snack packs, lunch boxes and picnics over the summer.
I even cheat a bit, and use ready prepared fruit, which makes life even simpler.
I make up a batch of ten, using fruit, (the children chose strawberry and banana) and coconut milk (the drinkable kind) for this batch, and whizzed up some creamy, fruity smoothies which I then froze. I pull them out for lunch boxes for school, they defrost slowly, and are still nice and chilled at lunchtime. They’ve also been great in the lovely hot weather we are having too, for cool snacks on the go. I’ve even had a sneaky smoothie snack or two…
I use a smoothie maker, but you could use a handheld blender, or the purée setting on a mixer.
It literally takes ten minutes or less to make, pour, seal and pop in the freezer (or fridge if you don’t want to freeze them)
Easy, healthy and yummy.
See, I told you SuperSquish was easy. Why not get some? They’re handy for the upcoming summer holidays, they’re ideal for picnics, travelling or on the go toddlers as well as just for a quick treat that’s healthy…
